Why clinical studies?

Each of us may use certain medicines in our lifetime. From a simple pain reliever to a drug prescribed by a doctor.

However, the availability of medicines is the result of a huge amount of research by scientists, pharmacists, and physicians, which requires the help of volunteers. Without volunteers, there would be no new or improved medicine.

It takes years for a new drug to be prescribed. During that period, the drug is tested for the first time in the laboratories of the pharmaceutical manufacturer.

After that, in several stages, if the results in the laboratory are acceptable and the drug is safe for people, doctors and researchers test the medicine in different doses on healthy volunteers or patients. They observe how the medicine is absorbed, its effectiveness, and safety.

All test results together form a large file. This case is evaluated by the Drug Evaluation Board in the Food and Drug Organization. If the drug is approved, it is registered as an official drug and enters the drug market. From then on, physicians may prescribe that drug to patients.

In line with the introduction of some vaccines to the market, CaroPharmed conducts its clinical trials in various hospitals or health care centers.

Volunteers are an essential part of the research and development process for new medicines and help Caropharmed improve the quality of life for many people.
